IMPROVING DIGITAL SKILLS TO ENSURE INCLUSION
Digitalisation is an inherent part of modern life, and digital tools can be a powerful solution to ensure the inclusion of vulnerable groups into the life of society. No wonder that a good mastery of digital skills is one of the requirements posed to adult educators, social workers and volunteers – and many scholars and practitioners have been working hard to document those. A recent attempt resulted in the publication of the manual “Adult social inclusion in a digital environment” that aims to improve the digital competences of adult educators and social volunteers in order to support inclusive education and social inclusion initiatives. The manual is based on desk research and presents a collection of best practices on social learning in online environments, ICT-based social inclusion initiatives and development of professional competences for social inclusion staff.
