The Teaching the Skills That Matter in Adult Education project (TSTM) trains teachers to integrate the skills that matter to adult students using approaches that work across critical topics. Additionally, the lessons provide Adult Basic Education practitioners with an opportunity to try out three different instructional approaches and a toolkit. Research shows that these approaches are highly effective because they provide a way for instructors to blend together academic skills and meaningful content together with transferable skills in ways that are very motivating and impactful for adult learners.
